Surgery, prosthetics and the lab under one roof

Ottawa West Dental has looked after west-end families for more than four decades, and it is built to finish what it starts. Implants, sinus lifts and biopsies are handled in-house by Dr. Max Silver, removable work is built by a staff denturist, and crowns are milled on site — the surgical, prosthetic and restorative halves of a case stay in one building. Other Ottawa dentists send surgical patients here on a referral form.

Services

General care covers hygiene, fillings, root canal therapy, crowns, bridges and extractions. The surgical side adds implant placement, sinus lifts with bone grafting, gum grafting for recession and biopsies, with platelet-rich fibrin drawn from the patient’s own blood to support healing. Denturist Majid Ahangaran handles conventional, immediate, partial and implant dentures. Cosmetic work includes veneers, whitening and full-mouth restoration, and Invisalign covers clear-aligner orthodontics. Children’s dentistry, mouth guards and TMJ treatment complete the list.

Technology

CEREC chairside milling produces crowns, inlays, onlays and bridges in a single visit. Digital and panoramic X-rays and an intra-oral camera shape the treatment plan, and soft-tissue and surgical lasers handle gum work. At hygiene appointments the hygienist runs a VELscope fluorescence scan to catch early signs of oral cancer.

Dentists

Dr. Hannah Kashyap trained at McGill and completed a general residency at Mount Sinai in Toronto. Dr. Jennifer Charbonneau added a Harvard residency to her McGill degree and takes on complex restorative work, periodontal surgery and endodontics. Dr. Feras Karkouki qualified in Damascus with a master’s degree. Dr. Max Silver graduated with honours from the University of Toronto and is certified in IV sedation.
